Are you looking to eradicate bugs and ensure consistency? Learn how to take control of your code,
ensuring large, complex source code can be simplified, cleaned and maintained.
The focus is on the most popular .NET languages (C#, VB.NET) for both Windows Forms and ASP.NET;
however, you will learn how to maintain quality code in any language.
As a project or company grows, managing code standards throughout your team becomes virtually
impossible. Consistent code is crucial to future development and maintenance.
Learn how to review your web apps and projects.
The tools we will explore include FX Cop, SSW Code Auditor, and Re-Sharper.

G'Day Developers!
Do you send Morning Goals?
At SSW we email the tasks we plan to achieve that day (only!) to our client (CCing our manager)
within 10 minutes of sitting at the desk, before we make any phone calls or write any emails.
This ensures our clients are fully aware of the work taking place - and gives them a chance to
change the priorities. It also allows us to get better at estimating what we will achieve in a day.
These updates are particularly useful for off-site work and most on-site work - unless a client choses
to manage the project down to the task level, and performs daily status checks. We:
Forward the previous morning goal from yesterday, striking out completed items
Comment (in a different colour) and give the reason whether any items were not completed
Copy outstanding items to today's morning goals, appending any new information
If a task is huge (e.g. clean up my email inbox) and we only aim to do a portion of it, we say so in
the morning goals as well.
Note: You can use SSW eXtreme Emails! to send morning goals
automatically.

Develop Applications More Efficiently with SSW .NET Toolkit
The SSW .NET Toolkit is an example of a distributed multi-layer application based on
the Microsoft Northwind database. Designed by Developers for Developers, the real-world source can
be used as
a model and basis for custom-designed applications perfect for
small and medium enterprise (SME) applications. Microsoft's examples like
Duwamish
and
IBuySpy
are code intensive and marketed towards
architects, not developers. The SSW .NET Toolkit delivers more functionality using less code. More...
